Oslo Central Station
Here at the heart of Oslo, you will find the busiest rail station in the whole of Norway - Oslo Sentralstasjon (Central Station), which is also referred to as Oslo S station. The station has opened its doors to travelers back in 1987 and since then has been refurbished. Oslo S consists of three main buildings - the main station, Flytogterminalen and Østbanehallen. Across all three parts, travelers will find modern facilities and all the neccessasities they might need traveling to or from the capital. Next to the station, you will find Østbanehallen - new food court, but don't be deceived - it is also the oldest standing part of the station, which reopened its doors in 2015 after a tremendous transformation. The Østbanehallen offers a range of restaurants, cafes, small shops as well as the information center for tourists Oslo Visit Center. One of the best perks is the station's location - within walking distance from Opera, and the royal palace. |
